UROCUT is a manual operation biopsy needle that is a hybrid of the Franklin-Silverman and Menghini biopsy needles. It provides a semi cylindrical core sample and is an improvement on the older TRUCUT design.

The razor sharp outer needle cores the tissue in the semi-cylindrical single piece. The thin walled needle offers the better chance of securing the maximum tissue core from minimal trauma. The specimen notch is designed dynamically safer to prevent the stylet from bending.
